FRAGRANCE REVIEW

VALENTINE EDITION

                          The Eaudemoiselle Collection
                              Eaudemoiselle Rose a la Folie
                                                  GIVENCHY

GIVENCHY is a French fashion, accessories and perfume brand founded in 1952 by Count Hubert de Givenchy.

The Eaudemoiselle Collection was established in 2010 with the introduction of Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy for women.

Since then the collection as grown to include Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Eau Fraiche, Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Eau Florale and Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Bois de Oud all for women in 2012.

Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Ambre Velour for women in 2013 and Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Absolu d'Oranger for women in 2015.

This classic collection continues with the launch of Eaudemoiselle Rose a la Folie Eau de Toilette. Its is an elegant and sophisticated scent that is loaded with roses that gives the ideal of a modern baby doll scent for today's classic and creative woman.

Eaudemoiselle Rose a la Folie comes in the classic bottle but this time it is pink in color. The scent includes notes of Tanghulu. A Chinese sweet candied hawthorn berries that is similar to the scent of caramelized apples. It continues with tea rose as the heart note and concludes with a note of musk as the base.

To complete this fragrance just in time for Valentine's Day it is available as a 100 ml.

Eaudemoiselle Rose a la Foiie Eau de Toilette is available via www.givenchybeauty.com

                                                 Lolita Lempicka
                                      SWEET Eau de Parfum

I feel over the hill with the first and original fragrance, Lolita Lempicka Eau de Parfum launched in 1997. It was the gourmand Oriental Floral wrapped together that gave an essence of beauty that words could not explain. It was this fragrance that caught my then fiance's attention. Since that day on our anniversary now almost 16 years that I wear it (if I can save some for the next year).

Lolita Lempicka is a fashion designer and perfume creator born in 1954 in  Bordeaux, France. Lolita admired her mother who was a seamstress and as they say the rest is history.

As I was doing research several months ago, I discovered that Lolita Lempicka was going to launch a new fragrance. Yes, I was more than excited and I had to find out what it was going to be. The name of the fragrance is one simple word but not for a simple fragrance. It's called, "Sweet".

This time Lolita Lempicka really took the bite out of the apple with another successful scent that surely take my breath away!

Sweet Eau de Parfum is the new scent that will transform the way we look at the cherry. It is a scent that is steeped in cherry and a cocoa assemble that is mouth watering from the first note.

It is composed by award-winning perfumer Anne Flipo. Who is known for creating spellbinding scents that have become cult classics.

Let me put it mildly, Sweet is cherry dipped in chocolate that will leave you licking your fingers like scraping the bowl to get the last drop of icing.

I contacted the Lolita Lempicka company to find out when I could get my hands on a sample, bottle or anything!

But before I tell you where, I need to tell you more about Sweet Eau de Parfum. The packaging is simply and truly is in the eye of the beholder.

It starts with a red box decadent to the Lolita Lempicka logo and the gem is inside the box. Take out the bottle and you get an apple shaped curvy, glossy and delicious looking. It is a bold red with golden outlines and the shiny stem of the apple is the sprayer that is a work of art.

The first thought in my mind is that I will never look an apple the same way. To me it was a message of power and motivation as it sat glistening awaiting the first forbidden bite.

I get excited about fragrances all the time. Regardless if it is a classic or the latest artisan creation but it is something about Sweet Eau de Parfum that transformed the life of the fragrance industry.

Lolita Lempicka fragrances is not just an extension of her fashion collection but her perfume collection breathes life into the fragrance industry which gives a new meaning to a piece of fruit...the first fruit of mankind and that was an apple.

Now, you ask what is it made with. Glad you asked. The top note is cherry, the heart notes are iris, cocoa absolute and Angelica and the base concludes with musk and cashmeran.

The tip of the iceberg is that Lolita Lempicka did not miss a beat when it was launched because during a limited time, Sweet Eau de Parfum (50 ml) and a spray bottle (7 ml) is available at www.nocibe.fr

This is a French beauty website that can be translated into English. This exclusive collection only found on nocibe,fr comes with a very cute box that resembles a mail slot and it is elegantly called "Lolita Lempicka Sweet Words box Valentine".

If you are seeking an extraordinary gift for Valentine's Day this would be it! If you only want the bottle and you are located in the US. You can purchase it at www.parfumslolitalempicka.com

It is available as a 30 ml in the US.

Sweet Eau de Parfum chose the lovely actress and model, Elle Fanning to be the spokesperson for this scent and I think she is the perfect choice. Sweet is a young and vibrant fragrance but it can be enjoyed by every woman at any age.

Note: I am so serious about this Sweet Eau de Parfum that I had my face photoshopped under a Kitty Andrew's hat (www.kittyandrews.com) with a bottle of Sweet Eau de Parfum that was also photoshopped.

The word "belles lettres" is a French phrase meaning "beautiful or "fine writing. Since this is a term to describe a category of writing, this will pertain to my passion about fragrances. I will review niche, natural, artisan and designer perfumes from all over the world. I write with passion but will use my journalistic skills that I obtained in college. Not only will I feature fragrances but I will feature new books on fragrances/perfumes, fragrance events and interview authors and perfumers.

I hope you take this journey with me and begin your own passion for the ART OF PERFUMERY!
