For perfumers Camille Goutal and Isabelle Doyen, the hypnotic pull from these ingredients started with the humble Vanilla bean as reimagined in Vanille Charnelle. Picturing a milky bath infused with Vanilla beans, they took it in its natural form, earthy and woody, far removed from its over-sweetened synthetic counterpart, adding a twist of pepper to pique at its mystery, ylang-ylang for its opulence, then teasing in hints of tonka bean, vetiver and white musk. It's Vanilla - but not as we know it.
Enhancing the allure of the collection, comes the Ambre Sauvage. Harvested from the imagination of the perfumers, Amber as a note exists only in dreams, unable to produce an aroma in raw form. One of the most interpreted scents in the history of perfumery, sensual incarnations of resin and patchouli are its heart giving an often aphrodisiac effect. Putting their own spin on the note, the perfumers create pure alchemy with a heady synergy of pink peppercorns, Iris and styrax - its many contrasts unravelling exquisitely with the warmth from the skin.
And, no collection would be complete without a smouldering Oud. Taking inspiration from the fabled One Thousand And One Nights comes 1001 Ouds - a modern interpretation of the ancient traditions and rituals of the wood. Harmoniously weaving in exotic notes of rose, papyrus and myrrh, it’s at once mesmerizing, lingering on into the night.

1001 OUDS Eau de Parfum
Fragrance Notes:
A harmony of rose, papyrus, and myrrh infuses the wearer from head to toe. Oud is present in all of its authenticity, beating like a heart at the core of this fragrance. It fuses with the rose, is rounded out by the gaiac wood, vaporises with a touch of birch, and bites with a hint of pepper.
VANILLE CHARNELLE Eau de Parfum
Fragrance Notes:
A mix of pepper and ylang-ylang creates a mystery in the top notes of this opulent fragrance. The heart notes plunge the vanilla into tonka bean and white musk, while a hint of vetiver adds dimension to the olfactory story. This and vanilla absolute, again as always: intriguing, captivating, the source of obsession.
AMBRE SAUVAGE Eau de Parfum
Fragrance Notes:
This fragrance begins with notes of patchouli and delicate amber. Pink peppercorn and lavender have been chosen for their icy, cooling effects. In contrast the base notes are soft iris and warming vanilla.

COCONUT MILK PARFUM
A Scent of Tropical Heaven
If you live in the Midwest such as I do, reality has set in and the days of warm weather, I mean really warm weather is now the past. I love the change of the season and to be honest the extremely hot weather this summer was too much for me to handle.
However those few days this summer that came with a glimpse of breeze made up for those far too many humid moments.
It easy for me snuggle under a blanket and remember those more bareable warm days with tropical thoughts in a place filled with scents and serene visions.
I was given a wonderful sample of COCONUT MILK PARFUM from the Perfect Perfume collection by perfumer, Sarah Horowitz at the Artisan Fragrance Salon in San Francisco.
COCONUT MILK immediately blew me away with its all so real coconut. It is so real that you can actually drink it. It is a true to the core and it has an underlining amount of almond. it is just the right amount to bring the tropics into your living room.
It reminds me of a smoothie. Lush, thick and the sillage lasts for many hours.
What I love about the generosity of Sarah Horowitz Parfums is that COCONUT MILK and other fragrances can be purchased in so many options such as a Eau de Parfum, pure oil, body lotion, body and massage oil, bath & shower gel and more.
I am a great fan of coconut milk! So to have a fragrance that I can wear as much as I love the drink is a win-win situation.
COCONUT MILK is not filled with a lot of notes but the notes in it are truly important and with Sarah talent she composes just the right about of accord(s) to take a complicated fruit to design into a luscious and vibrant scent.
