Angelique is a floral green scent for women and men. It illuminates as a woody-floral with a powdery enhancement just perfect for this time of the year.

Fragrance Notes: mimosa petals, orris, champaca, osmanthus, cedar and olbanum

ANUBIS is an oriental scent for women and men. It provides a smoky and warm spicy ambience.

Fragrance Notes: suede, jasmine, pink lotus, immortelle, olibanum, myrrh, saffron

Tobacco Rose is a vibrate floral scent for women and men that gives a woody and amber vibe.

It is with great regret to hear the passing of French Perfumer, Sandrine Videault of the house of LesNez Parfums d'Auteurs.

Ms. Videault passed away on July 3, 2013. To her great credit of floral fragrances and olfactory events, she is most famous for her creation of Manoumalia Eau de Toliette.

Not only that, but she is one of the last students of the great Master Perfumer, Edmond Roundnitska.

Ms. Videault too young to leave us too soon will always be remembered by those closest to her and in the world of perfumery her creations will last a lifetime knowing that with each one made, her mind, heart and soul is in each of them.

Fragrance Belles-Lettres Magazine is among her greatest admirers.

It was shocking news almost a year ago to hear the passing of a great perfumer who was a quiet whisper in the vast fragrance industry.

Mona di Orio voice was heard loud and clear with a vision in perfumery that led all admirers near and far to the one place she loved and that was creating landmark scents that represented the Golden Age and glamour of the 1920's and 30's was her moment at best.

Mona di Orio Parfums founded in 2004 with fashion designer, Jeroen Oude Sogtoen was not only about perfume but showing their appreciation for the arts and sharing that love with people who also liked the glamour era.

                                                           Perfumer Extraordinaire: A Tribute


     Mr. Guy Robert, world renowned perfumer and legend passed away on Monday, May 28, 2012.
He was one of the greatest perfumers of the twentieth century. His perfume creations were adorned world wide and he left a legacy that is truly hard to beat.

   Robert Guy loved life. He loved jazz music. But most of all he loved the ART OF PERFUMERY.
Yes, he came from a family of perfumers but Mr. Robert developed his own unique way of speaking through fragrance to capture the heart and soul of a great scent.

He left Marseilles, France for New York to enhance his skills and focus on a new adventure by entertaining us with an even bigger scope in the ART OF PERFUMERY.

  Each fragrance that Mr. Robert composed spoke to each of us in a unique way and I can remember my reaction to each of those fragrances when I sniffed them for the first time, magical...breathtaking...divine.

I will miss the artist we know as Guy Robert. He quietly performed his best works and he watched the world clamour for more. Well, we have to say good-bye. He is leaving us way too soon but we all owe Mr. Guy a huge Thank You for believing in us.

Fragrance Belles-Lettres Est 2009 CHICAGO

The word "belles lettres" is a French phrase meaning "beautiful or "fine writing. Since this is a term to describe a category of writing, this will pertain to my passion about fragrances. I will review niche,natural, artisan and designer perfumes from all over the world. I write with passion but will use my journalistic skills that I obtained in college. Not only will I feature fragrances but I will feature new books on fragrances/perfumes, fragrance events and interview authors and perfumers.
