Fragrance Belles-Lettres Magazine

  I recently discovered a wonderful website dedicated to the scents and flavors from Africa. It is called AFRICAN AROMATICS (africanaromatics.com) and the Editor in Chief, Sophia (last name I will find out) is a Perfume Artisan of only natural ingredients.
    
 Sophia's passion is the ART OF PERFUMERY in Africa that goes back for many, many centuries but little is known about it. Text books indicate Ancient Egypt and the Mediterranean is the start of perfumery but this may not be the case.

 The research by Sophia continues to indicate that what is known about the origin of history pertaining to perfumery as we know it needs to be rewritten. Perfumery goes back to the beginning of time and Sophia further indicates that Southern Africa is the birthplace of Perfumes.

 I am so exciting about the discovery of africanaromatics.com and my upcoming interview with Sophia will shed new light on this subject and bring the history of Southern African perfumery for us to explore and finally learn.
