Valentine's Day Weekend
Part Two
A Trio of Chocolates
The Exquisite Scents of Souvenir de Chocolate
I had a wonderful Valentine's Day with cut-out hearts on the walls in the dining room, there was breakfast on the table for me and I got a bottle of rose' champagne but no chocolates.
That was actually fine with me as I am starting a new diet but to have no chocolates, well not in the conventional way. I did have chocolates in the form of perfume and I had not only one or two but three!
I wore Souvenir de Chocolate Trio by EnVoyage Perfumes. This glorious trio of chocolates all swirled together with mocha café, amber and vanilla. It quenched my taste with the aroma of dark chocolate and milk chocolate.
Shelley Waddington is the owner and perfumer of EnVoyage Perfumes and she did a favor for my waist line.
Souvenir de Chocolate Trio is the best in fragrant launches in 2014. I wish I had an award to give but this trio by far is the most captivating with the use of notes that gives a gourmand, woody and floral essence that a box of chocolates could not compare.
Café Cacao is a breathtaking scent of a luscious cup of chocolate mocha! Its a creamy sensation steeped in a vapor that oozes with the aroma of a smooth and velvet taste. The inspiration for Café Cacao is the love of musk by Josephine Bonaparte and Marie Antoinette's fascination with the scents of cocoa and amber. Café' Cacao is a royal treat that any master pastry chef would love!
Fragrance Notes: Set in an amber base with top notes of vanilla rose, sugar, cardamom and bergamot.
Middle Notes: coffee, milk, dark chocolate and whipped cream
Base Notes: amber, musk and ambergris.
Captured in Amber is a deep and I found to be a mystery because the notes in this fragrance all have there time and place to emerge. Captured in Amber is the deepest scent in this collection. If you prefer a woody note in a fragrance, then Captured in Amber is for you. I love how the notes move in motion from moment to moment-day to day. When I wore it I smelled a floral scent wrapped in amber and then moments later here comes the spices with the aroma of chocolate billowing into the sweet scent of vanilla to mellow things out.
This fragrance is a true masterpiece and to me I would think it is a difficult scent to compose, but Shelley Waddington does it brilliantly. It is truly the scent for women and men to enjoy!
Fragrance Notes: ambergris, labdanum, vanilla, tonka bean, floral notes, spices, woody notes, olibanum, resin, peru balsam, tolu, balsam, benzoin, patchouli, myrrh, dark chocolate.
Indigo Vanilla is the scent that captured my heart because vanilla is my most favorite spice. Usually when I love a fragrance it has vanilla in it and Indigo Vanilla is my favorite. This scent reminds me of a vanilla latte at Starbucks! I love the warmth and creamy aroma is provides that filled my nostrils with a sweet foam of milk.
Indigo Vanilla is inspired by the sultry jazz of the 1920's in the city called the "Big Easy". What intrigued me most about Indigo Vanilla is the violet sucree. This fragrance is not only soft and creamy but it is layered with violet sucree which means, "violet sugar" perched on the top.
I really had a lot of fun wearing Indigo Vanilla and I love the compliments I received. There were people who said I smell chocolate, others said flowers but most people said they loved the sweet smell.
Fragrance Notes: white chocolate, milk, whipped cream, sugar, amber, musk and violet sucree.
Souvenir de Chocolate Trio is for both women and men and it can be purchased at EnVoyage Perfumes, a multi-award winning perfumery in the state of California.
