BYREDO PERFUME
The Art of Hair Perfume
Perfume is not just for the decollete (the neckline), inside of the wrists and ankles anymore. It is now being designed strictly for the hair. I have noticed more and more companies bringing hair into the Art of Perfumery, but this has been done many centuries ago with the start of the Ancient Egyptians females who used scented cones in their hair.
I like the idea of having a perfume created for just the hair. I remember when I was younger and experimenting with fragrances that I would spring a light and airy floral scent on my hair.
It would last for hours and I love the compliments I received from it. I had an oily scalp so the scent would immerse with the oil giving it more of what is widely used in fragrances today as Oudh (woody scent). During that time as a young girl, I didn't have any idea of Oudh but I know I loved the scent and I would spray perfume in my hair many times, especially after getting it done at the beauty salon.
Today, I can experiment with hair perfume and get ingredients that are not only scented beautifully but also good for the hair too.
One of my favorite perfumeries have launched a NEW hair perfume collection this year and it is winning the hearts of its cult followers to new aficionados to the brand.
Byredo was conceived in 2006 by Ben Gorham who grew up in Toronto, New York and Stockholm. He is of native Sweden to an Indian mother and a Canadian father.
Byredo is a modern and beautiful composition of scents from around the world where Mr. Gorham as lived and traveled.
If you are seeking a collection that will provide you with a wealth of information through scents worldwide, I promise the house of Byredo will deliver every time.
We are introduced to three hair perfumes each different but very complimentary to each other. I am very experimental when it comes to perfumes, so I plan to layer them on at the same time. I trust the magic of Byredo!
