Natural Fragrance Review
ESCAPE TO THE ISLANDS
with
Vanilla Island by Pacifica
My time was limited one Saturday afternoon. I was seeking to find some perfumes that I had not encountered on State Street in Chicago.
I spotted Sephora and dashed in the frigid store with the a/c on intensity. I didn't care because on that particular afternoon, it was so incredibly hot.
I first looked at the makeup displays and found no satisfaction and then I went to the fragrance area and found an even worse dissatisfaction.
It was horrible. It was the standard fragrances for mass markets and celebrity gizmo. This is not my forte. I was about the leave until I spotted an area toward the end of the fragrance department that I had not looked.
There on the end was PACIFICA's 'Take Me There' set. It contains an Island Vanilla Perfume Roll-on, Body Butter (tube) and Vanilla Hibiscus Moisture Lip Tint.
I am very familiar with the fragrances created by PACIFICA. However, I had not tried Vanilla Island. I was quite pleased and noticed when I was in the so-called "natural products" area of this store, I was not bothered by the store assistants.
Vanilla Island Perfume is a warm sweet scent with a hint of fruity sensation. Mild and airy that I could see wearing on a deserted island.
I then noticed that PACIFICA offers a set that includes two other items.
Now, seeing this niche fragrance in Sephora was a little surprising to me. I normally encounter PACIFICA at my local Whole Foods.
I purchased the set and really didn't put much emphasis on the other two items because I thought it was just a selling point.
When I arrived home and later that evening applied the body cream on my hands, I noticed how creamy and rich and soft my hands became after I rubbed them together several times.
My hands were instantly EXTREMELY soft and it smelled of a wonderful Bourbon vanilla!
I applied the Vanilla Hibiscus Color Quench Lip Tint and I was pleasantly surprise that this light pink color looked good on my complexion.
Normally that color does not work well with my light caramel color complexion but I was satisfied with the results. It is indeed a tint with sheer color that is smooth and smells ravishingly tasteful.
Once again, PACIFICA satisfied me. I also admire PACIFICA for its many years of effort and partnership for environmental causes.
PACIFICA has an on-going partnership with Jean-Michel Cousteau's OCEAN FUTURES SOCIETY.
So, this also made me feel good that I purchased this set because with each purchase a portion goes to OCEAN FUTURES SOCIETY.
Well I will say this that Sephora store made a great choice when they decided to have PACIFICA incuded in their fragrance selection. I can say at least one natural perfume is sold there. I hope my next visit to that store or any other Sephora location will add more natural perfumes to their line-up.
Its just good for the environment.
