I am truly excited with the fragrance industry lately. I am totally amazed at all the new fragrances representing an ancient old ingredient of Agarwood or better said as "Oud". Pratically every niche fragrance company has given their version of oud that is keeping me busy on this subject.

The great and ever-generational perfume house, CREED will debut its oud fragrance, ROYAL-OUD to the world in October 2011.

ROYAL-OUD is laced with the many fine fragrance notes to represent a royal Persian palace for both men and women.

Sixth-generation Master Perfumer, Olivier CREED creates ROYAL-OUD as a "Masterpiece of the Oud". It has such a rich and flowing aroma that lets you envision the lives of Kings and Queens with your own adorning crown of notes that sparkle with a modern horizon of this century. The Calabrian lemon is so sacred in this scent as it surrounds the Indian oud. This fragrance is filled with so much warmth and tranquility that it keeps you wrapped up all that is good and pleasing.

Olivier CREED had help with ROYAL-OUD by seventh-generation Erwin CREED who obtained the oud directly from local providers in India.

ROYAL-OUD is made in respect to the cultures that have used oud for centuries using traditional purposes of enhancing their lives. The house of CREED has made it possible for all of us to get a peek into the palaces of Persian and Parisian life.

Fragrance Belles-Lettres Est 2009 CHICAGO

The word "belles lettres" is a French phrase meaning "beautiful or "fine writing. Since this is a term to describe a category of writing, this will pertain to my passion about fragrances. I will review niche,natural, artisan and designer perfumes from all over the world. I write with passion but will use my journalistic skills that I obtained in college.
