NUVOL DE LLIMONA (LEMON CLOUD) by Roca

 I could careless what season it is. If I want to wear white after Labor Day, then I will wear white, well winter white (it looks better with my complexion) and if I want lemon meringue pie in the middle of January, then I will eat lemon meringue pie. 

What if you could put your favorite dessert in a perfume bottle. What would it smell like and how would it look. Well in order to fit my lemon meringue pie in a perfume bottle, it would take some really sweet ingredients and the meringue would have to be at the top and slightly burnt.  

Oh how luscious this all sounds. Guess what? My dream has come true. No really it has. I discovered a NEW perfume that was inspired by a top chef in Spain.  He took his childhood memories and emotions and bottled them all up and it comes in the scent of a lemon. Yes a lemon.
 
NUVOL DE LLIMONA means "lemon cloud" is the NEW fragrance created in 2011 by perfumer, Agusti Vidal of Barcelona, Spain and Jordi Roca.

Jordi Roca, a pastry chef creates mouth-watering   desserts for the family business that are considered one of the best in the industry. NUVOL DE LLIMONA perfume is inspired from a dessert that was created by Chef Roca that consist of a "cloud of lemons surrounding cake treated to milk and sweeties".


I am so excited because Mr. Vidal scent me a sample and I should be receiving it shortly. Why am I so excited? This is due to what I love about perfumery and that is the ART OF PERFUMERY. The ART OF PERFUMERY comes from inspirations, travels, memories, emotions and concepts that draw from an energy that promotes a positive ray of light that forms into a perfumery. It is the niche category of perfumery that draws me more and more on how wonderful a vision can be with an open heart to creations of all kinds.

NUVOL DE LLIMONA features TOP NOTES: bergamot, tangerine
MIDDLE NOTES: lily of the valley, milk and custard
BASE NOTES: sugar, syrup, toasted sugar and musk.

It comes in a 50 ml white bottle that is round and puffy like a white cloud and cost 50.00 euros.

   The totally feminine fragrance by burlesque beauty, Dita Von Teese has finally revealed her new perfume to the world and it is named, FEMME TOTALE.

I came to know Mr. del Pozo through his work in perfumery which the creations of the HALLOWEEN collection and other globally known fragrances developed during the years.
  
  Mr. del Pozo will be remembered for his sensational ability to connect style and people through elegant fashions and his love for fragrances. Mr. del Pozo graced us with one more fragrance before his death, the launch of HALLOWEEN FEVER (20ll) a youthful and modern version that captures the glamour of New York  City with intricate details of the skyline on the bottle.

    A Perfume made from Icelandic glacial water?
  Yep! EFJ ( Eyjafjalljokull) by Gydja (prounced gith-e-ya) is a "classic, spicy light and fresh fragrance". EFJ Eau de Parfum is made from pure glacial water from Eyjafjalljokull and every bottle comes from a small lava rock from the volcano.

The NATURAL BRAND

 Transcendental Musc is a "refreshing blend of citrus, orange flower and champaca with an underlying sheer musc".  

 Rivertown Road is a "complex yet modern Bay Rum Fougere with Seville Lavender absolute, violets, spice, amber,  patchouli, frankincense, ambergris and soft woods". 

 Ms, Zorn exquisitely makes all of her scents that seem so complex to create seem so easy and always leaves the wearer of the scent simply captivated.

 Not only did Ms. Zorn launch two new fragrances this year but coming soon all fragrance enthusiasts of Liz Zorn will be able to make their very own perfume at the Scentual Artistry studio in Cincinnati, Ohio.

What could be better than having an expert perfumer help you create your very own fragrance. I personally cannot wait to hear more and take part in this magical journey in the Midwest (USA).

THE FAN MUSEUM EXHIBITION

An unique and exquisite exhibition of its kind is currently going on at THE FAN MUSEUM in Greenwich, London  (UK) since August 2, 2011.


THE FAN MUSEUM-Air A LA Mode showcases some the world's most elaborate and intrigue fans in the world. The exhibition that is going on now is featuring one of the last remaining traditional fan makers in the world.

Mr. Sylvain Le Guen, a young man born in 1977 is known for being the "architecture of fan building" if you will. He constructs such spell bounding fans and this exhibit will showcase his talent for the world to see.

Not only is Mr. Le Guen showcasing his fans but he has collaborated with world renowned perfumer, Francis Kurkdjian on a beautiful scented fan!

THE FAN MUSEUM exhibition will continue to go on until November 13, 2011 while another famous exhibition  THE LONDON DESIGN FESTIVAL will debut September 17th through 25th.

I am so excited about hearing such an exhibition that uses the ART OF PERFUMERY with the
"Art of Architecture"
in making fans to build a unique business for all to enjoy.

I am very honored and so humbled by the most   beautiful fan I received by Perfumer and Cosmetic Scientist Daniel Vaudd located in London . Mr. Vaudd sent me a gorgeous fan that is scented with his perfume creation RADIANTLY ROMANTIC. The fan is crafted in the traditional Japanese style that is scented with Top Notes: sparkling aldehydes, tarragon, bergamot, neroli
