     The house of Floris was established in 1730 during the Georgian period. It has come a long ways in 280 years of perfumery. To honor this momentous occasion in 2010, Floris have created a new scent simply named 280. To symbolize this great occasion only 280 copies of the perfume will be sold.

     This celebratory scent opens with black pepper, clove and it has warmth with iris, neroli, orange blossom and ylang ylang for balance. The sweets come in tonka bean and vanilla with a hint of musk to give it depth.

    The house of Floris have good reason to celebrate. It was Juan Famenias Floris who had a passion and idea that took skills and determination to start a perfumery. His wife, Elizabeth was there for moral support and helped Mr. Floris to become the man we have learned to appreciate and admire.

  This issue is about heroines in the present and the great beyond. This great partnership was carried for 280 years with now the 8th generation descendants running the perfumery.
